About Allen Reichle
A Commitment to Service
Allen Reichle has represented East China Township as a Trustee since 2020. His approach to the role is straightforward: show up prepared, be honest with residents, and focus on the day‑to‑day decisions that affect the community.
Allen is a strong advocate for open and transparent local government. He believes residents deserve clear information, accessible leadership, and decision‑making that follows both the law and the spirit of public service.
To better serve the township, Allen has completed numerous courses through the Michigan Townships Association (MTA) and places particular emphasis on budgeting, oversight, and careful review of board materials. He regularly studies board packets in advance to ensure meetings are productive and informed.
Outside of township government, Allen works full time at Menards. In both roles, he enjoys interacting with people and helping solve practical problems—an approach he brings to public service as well.
Allen is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve, where he served honorably in the Military Police Corps and Civil Affairs. His military service reinforced the values of accountability, discipline, and putting the community before oneself.
He has a strong working knowledge of Michigan’s Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act and believes compliance with these laws is essential to maintaining public trust.
A lifelong member of the community, Allen is a graduate of Marine City High School and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 296. His involvement in public service began early, including service on a local school board after being elected in 2010.
